About this policy

This policy explains how rick.build and its public blog pages handle information. The site is operated by Rick as a personal website.

Google Analytics

With your permission, this site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site and which pages are useful. The Google Analytics measurement ID is G-GKC3RTXSH2.

Analytics may collect page views, referring pages, approximate location, browser and device information, and interaction data. It uses first-party identifiers such as the _ga cookie to distinguish users and sessions. Google uses an IP address during collection to determine approximate location and says that Google Analytics 4 discards it before the data is logged.

The Analytics tag is not loaded until you select “Accept Google measurement and ads.” If you decline, this site does not load the Google Analytics tag. You can change your choice by clearing this site's stored data in your browser and reloading the site.

This site also sends the choice to Google Consent Mode for theanalytics_storage,ad_storage,ad_user_data, andad_personalization signals. The site does not currently load Google Ads or AdSense tags, but this keeps the consent signal ready if Google advertising is added later. Serving personalized ads to users in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland may also require a Google-certified CMP integrated with the IAB TCF.

For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and its Analytics privacy guidance.
